This is Next. Up., a newsletter that covers consistently one or more of these critical topics-
Careers. Much of the conventional wisdom from recruiters and so-called experts about building careers from early on through mid-career is outdated and misguided. And, honestly, hardly any job seekers or respected employees followed those prescribed paths toward success. Let’s outline and discuss how you can dismiss those ideas of old to be more original in your pursuits as a viable candidate and also more effective in your role as a valued colleague.
Community. With where the world sits today, it’s difficult to imagine relying on and rebuilding with the same structures in place toward connectivity with others. People are seeking something a wee bit different now, forever reshaped by the pandemic that has upset so much of our society both in view and behind the scenes. How can we better identify, depend on, and turn to likeminded people in this new, less certain era?
Care. At the heart of every choice we make is a question of whether we can take back control over our schedules and of our routines and to find deeper meaning in what may have been lost in the past to time. As we go ahead - together - let’s pause to consider for ourselves and to be considerate of our peers. We’ll do it better going forward.
